About Us
Caleb’s Hill takes their name from a man who at 85 years old asked God to “give me this mountain” promised to him 45 years earlier. Caleb’s Hill was originally formed by Garry Wicker (bass) in his forties at the time, while thinking that most people start bands usually in their teens and twenties, thus “the old guy” had his name for the band. He and Bryan Bond (drums) were original members adding Jeff Smith (lead, acoustic guitar, vocals) at a later date before life took them in different directions for several years. Their reunion some ten plus years later has been something only God could orchestrate.
Combining well known covers with their original music, Caleb’s Hill is on mission to use their music to move others into a deeper relationship with the same God who guided Caleb as he led his family to settle into the Promised Land. “Music is a part of each of us and it’s what links us together with God and with each other,” says Wicker, “it’s what drives us to write, play, sing and share our hearts!”
